Accessibility statement
All About Automotive is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, and screen magnification. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time checkbox.
Conformance target
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the Revised Section 508 standards. Based on our most recent review it substantially conforms, with the minor exceptions noted below.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and a single H1 per page.
- A "skip to main content" link and a visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Full keyboard operability — no mouse-only or touch-only interactions.
- Text and meaningful UI elements meet AA color-contrast ratios.
- Descriptive alternative text on images and labels on every form field.
- Layouts reflow to a single column on small screens without loss of content or functionality.
- Motion is reduced automatically when a visitor has set "reduce motion" in their system preferences.
- The page language is declared, and link text describes its destination.
- Phone touch controls. All interactive elements — buttons, links, form inputs, and the mobile navigation — meet the 44 × 44 px minimum touch target size recommended by Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and WCAG 2.5.5. Touch targets are spaced to prevent accidental activation on small screens.
- Voice-to-text and voice control compatibility. All form fields carry
explicit
<label>elements, correctautocompleteattributes, and appropriateinputmodevalues (for example, inputmode="tel"on phone fields andinputmode="email"on email fields). This ensures that voice control software such as Apple Voice Control, Android Voice Access, and Dragon NaturallySpeaking can target fields by their visible label, and that mobile keyboards surface the correct input type for each field. We do not use placeholder text as a substitute for labels.
Known limitations
The embedded Google Map on our contact page is a third-party component whose internal markup we do not control. A plain text address and a "Get directions" link are always provided alongside it. We continue to test the appointment form with keyboard and screen readers and refine it as needed.
How this was assessed
Last reviewed on 2026-06-29 using a combination of expert manual review, automated color-contrast analysis, keyboard testing, and code inspection against WCAG 2.2 A and AA success criteria. A formal VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) is maintained for this site and is available on request.
